Changing the Face of Paddleboarding One Board at a Time!

Our Stand-Up Paddleboarding journey started 15 years ago at The Paddleboard House, which was the very first dedicated SUP shop on the East Coast. We took over full management in 2019, and by 2020, we officially launched our own signature line: Stand-Up Paddleboards. After leasing the original shop from the owners in 2023, we made our biggest move yet. In December 2025, we relocated the entire operation to our new showroom at 1225 E. From WebTV to the Space Coast Lineup

Long before stand-up paddleboarding took off, we were running the local digital surf and skim scene. Back in 1997 on WebTV, we launched boardheads2.com, floridaskimboarding.com, and skimwear.com—a signature line of clothing made for skimmers, by skimmers.

For over a decade, boardheads2.com served as the absolute digital mecca and prime resource for skimboarding and surfing media throughout Florida. Long before modern social media or automated cams, it was the digital town square where the community went to see photo galleries of epic swell sessions, check local beach break reports, and view the BoardHeads2 Skimmin' Art Gallery. We even hosted, cleaned the lens, and maintained the historic, original live surf camera right on the Cocoa Beach Pier for the legendary Bob Freeman!

For years before other automated live surf cams even existed, we would drive the local breaks every single morning to check the conditions. We would videotape Second Light at Patrick Space Force Base, head down to 16th Street in Cocoa Beach, and finish at the Cocoa Beach Pier. Then, we’d drive all the way back home just to upload the images for a morning surf update so everyone else could "check the surf" before running right back to the beach to play ourselves.

"D" spent 30 years taking the most amazing shots of all the local surfers from every major swell. She built a massive archive of photos from every single historic session, solely for the purpose that any local surfer or surfer's family anywhere could log on and proudly see their loved ones out charging the waves. You could even print them out and show your friends. She became the true heartbeat of the local lineup—so much so that local families would constantly ask her to post surprise surf pictures of their spouses on their birthdays. "D" ran those updates every single day, completely for free. Talk about total dedication. When others saw our massive traffic and launched automated cams to sell ads, we just smiled and said, "Thanks, now we can finally make the sunrise sessions." That is when "D" officially launched flsurfcams.com, building the first comprehensive list of all the new surf cams in Florida. She still keeps it updated for local watermen today, and still completely for free.

The Cocoa Beach Deli Days & Hurricane Swells

We also ran the legendary Boardheads Deli in Cocoa Beach, right up the street from the Slaters' surf shop. Half the time, Kelly’s brothers or the local crew would walk in and tell us the waves were firing—we’d lock the front door right then and go surf! We knew and fed everybody: Mason Sapp, Chris Duff, Melody Decarlo, Crystal Cooper, the Hobgoods, and the whole crew. We were hanging out with the Hobgood brothers at Sebastian Inlet on 9/11, surfing the swell while trying to process what had just happened.

In the early days, we could even get past police checkpoints during major hurricanes because our online magazine Boardheads2 and our surf cams made us "media" to the cops. "D" would take the sickest shots of everybody out in the heavy storm surf at the Cocoa Beach Pier, making the local crew famous.

Jim went from making subs in Cocoa Beach to helping design and manufacture premium SUPs for Melbourne Beach and the surrounding areas. Talk about irony!
